Membership FAQs
- Q. How do I join The Gap State High School P&C Association (P&C)?
- A. Complete the online Application for P&C Membership agreeing to the Code of Conduct. If you are not a parent of a student enrolled at this school, you will require a valid Blue Card to become a member of the P&C. You are not able to vote at P&C meetings until your membership has been accepted.
- Q. I'm a P&C employee. Can I join the P&C?
- A. Yes. However, as a P&C employee you will not be able to vote on issues which directly affect your employment, including votes on the Executive Committee.
- Q. Do I have to attend a P&C meeting to apply for membership?
- A. Yes, if it's a General Meeting, you must attend the meeting at which you wish your application to be considered, unless you are applying for membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), in which case you do NOT need to attend.
- Q. I was a member of the P&C last year. Do I need to apply again?
- A. Yes, membership forms expire at the next AGM and must be completed every year for all members except P&C Honorary Life Members.
- Q. If I complete my application, can I attend a general meeting and vote at that same meeting?
- A. No. A membership application form can be submitted prior to the commencement of any general meeting, but the membership is processed as the last item on the agenda and must be verified before you can vote at future meetings.
- Q. Can I attend an AGM meeting and vote at that same meeting?
- A. Yes.
